West Elm Pillows
A few weeks ago, I came across a beautiful chunky gray knit pillow cover that I thought would look perfect in my bedroom. The pillow cover is by Lutz & Patmos and sold by West Elm. As luck would have it, West Elm clearanced the pillow cover and sold out of the Heather Gray before I could purchase one. I ended up finding one on eBay, but paying significantly more than the $24.99 West Elm advertised.

This pillow is even more stunning when flipped over. The other side sports 5 large buttons that serve as an opening for the insert. Such a classic and yet tranquil looking pillow. As soon as my pillow insert arrives, I will post pictures of it on my bed – can’t wait to snuggle with its softness!
West Elm has also introduced the Patch NYC home collection. These Patch NYC pillows were made exclusively for West Elm.

Also, if you get a chance, visit the Patch NYC website. Not only a beautiful website, but eye-catching scarves and pillows.

Andrea Ferrari Photographer
I came across this beautiful photography by Andrea Ferrari. Enjoy!

I have to have that couch! SO beautiful and elegant. I’m sure its uncomfortable, but who cares!

I’ve fallen in love with this blue/turquoise room.

Shower Curtains and Venice

I still have a bathroom that needs a shower curtain (we have been in our house for 2 years now!). I think I’m undecided as to what style direction to take the bathroom in. The above shower curtains from Anthropologie show exactly my problem – should I go fun and colorful or feminine and spa like?

Or how about this Venice Shower Curtain? This gives me an urban feel – even with the gondola.

Beachy Seaside Bedrooms

I almost could imagine this room setup on the porch of a beach house overlooking the ocean.

Loving the color on the walls…

This quilt and sheet set from The Company Store is absolutely gorgeous! I already have a comforter for my oldest daughters room, but I’m considering purchasing this quilt also. I found a 15% coupon that can be used towards the quilt – but with shipping it still runs over $170 for a full/queen. I may wait for a better sale.

Bunk Rooms

The children’s room in a coastal vacation home – I want to curl up in one of those cubbies! Think of the dreaming you could do…

Very crisp and fun look – however, how does one get into the bed? Seems as if the beds are set somewhat high. Is there a chair at the end of each bed?

Each bunk has its own light.
We have been in the process of purchasing “big” girl bedroom furniture for our oldest daughter. While we did not go with a bunk room, we did opt for a trundle bed in the event both of our daughters ever want to share a room. However, should we decide to have more kids, we will definitely be revisiting the bunk room idea.

Welcome to the House of Many Hues!
Hi there! My name is Kristina and I live in the Great Lakes State of Michigan. I am married to a great guy who tolerates my obsession with home decorating. We have two beautiful girls, 2 medium sized mutts, and live on 5 acres. I believe that anyone with a house, apartment, loft, condo, trailer, or cardboard box (hopefully not!) can be an decorator. The only requirement is that you have an interest in surrounding yourself with things that excite and inspire YOU. This blog is a place where I can organize decorating ideas, beautiful finds for the home and share them with readers. Maybe you too will find inspiration here! If you would like to contact me, please feel free to email me at houseofmanyhues@yahoo.com. Ok, lets get started and have some fun – because really, that’s what this is all about!
I love the clean look of this lounge along with the punch of color the pillows give.
To have a view like that for your lounge furniture!

Spring officially begins March 20! However, with all of this good weather we have been having, I’m ready to lounge outside. Restoration Hardware has some beautiful lounge furniture – but be prepared for the price of beauty!
