Designers Guild

A few days ago, I received in the mail the Spring/Summer catalog from Designers Guild.  While the catalog isn’t very large, it is filled with wonderful collections of linens, rugs, and pillows.  They also have two pages dedicated to fragrant and luxurious candles and soaps – not that I need any.

The catalog is filled with great design ideas and beautiful photos (not to mention the paper quality of the catalog is really nice so this one is a definite keeper and will be filed away!).

While flipping through the pages of the catalog, I got lots of ideas for our bedroom that has not seen much progress lately.  However, I’m still convinced that I want a turquoise painted buffet as our tv stand.  It will serve not only as the stand, but a place for books, movies, my numerous magazines, and maybe even clothes.  I think the buffet has been holding me back form moving forward.  Somehow I feel that I need to have the buffet in the room before I can work on the rest of the design.  I need to find this (2nd picture down) buffet… Back to Craigslist I will have to go.

But getting back to the catalog, I found myself also eyeing out the towels.  I have been in the process of getting rid of tattered and generally worn out towels from our bathrooms.  I haven’t replaced any yet because I’m not sure what color(s) to buy.  I thought about sticking with all white towels but after looking at the catalog, I’m re-thinking this decision.  The colors offered are so vibrant that I’m not sure I could commit to only white.

The final pages are all about kids rooms that showcase lots of cute bedding and rugs.  Thankfully, I’ve already purchased my daughters bedding as I’m not sure that I could narrow it down to just one choice.
