Happy Monday!
This weekend was filled with lots of needed work around the house. We’ve been in our home for a little over 2 years and it was time to wash the carpets. While there were no visible stains anywhere, for the past year my daughter has had a fascination watching her bottles and sippy cups drip on the floor. We rented a steam cleaner from our local grocery store and ahhh….I love the clean smell of soap and even better the clean smell of the carpets.
I also put up a shower curtain in the girls bathroom (finally!). There really hasn’t been an immediate need for one in this bathroom (right now the girls just get baths) but it did somehow feel unfinished. I wanted to purchase something that was chic, stand the test of time (be used for a couple years without me getting bored of it), and yet also work with little girls. I decided to go with a simple Rachel Ashwell shower curtain. After I hung it up, my oldest daughter gasped and said “pretty“. I am so pleased with the way it looks – I’ll snap a few photos as soon as I get a chance!
While out and about, I bought a new orchid for my kitchen (they make me happy). I use to be very intimated by orchids thinking they were difficult to take care of. I now realize that they are actually quite simple to care for (maybe even easier than most houseplants).
I’m not sure if every Target has a “dollar” section near the entrance of the store, but mine actually has some really great finds. I got the below card making kit for $1. The kit comes with 4 blank cards and envelopes with all of the accessories you see below. How can this only be $1? Checkout your local Target for dollar deals and let us know what you find.
