Growing Veggies
The vegetable garden is now fully planted! Can you say whoo hoo! There were great delays in planting this year due to all of the rain we had a few weeks ago. I’m so glad that all of my plants (I think my husband counted over 90) are in the ground and for now doing well. I have everything from snow peas, to eggplant, to yellow wax beans, and even cantaloupe and pumpkins. I’ve been thinking about what to do with any surplus I may have – my guess is there will be more than I know what to do with! My thoughts are on putting up an unattended roadside stand and selling off my crop for some extra cash. My neighborhood has an “egg” lady, a Christmas tree farmer, a pumpkin patch, firewood galore, and a roadside corn stand just to name a few. However, I don’t know of anyone that sells anything like bell peppers or broccoli. Or maybe I’ll just take it up to the local farmers market. We’ll see how things progress.
In other area’s of my garden, here’s what’s in bloom…
